Okay. [ He took a deep breath. He knew a little about chemical burns, and before he'd gotten there he'd searched for some information on the internet too. It would be better if Ankh saw a doctor, but... well, that wasn't going to happen. ] I kind of need to ask you some stuff first. You already showered, right? And you're drinking a lot?
[And his silence on the drinking water part should be a 'no'. His back is burned both from the acid and his own fire, and criss-crossed with lashes from Philip's whips. Some of them had been burned over, others not.]
How long? It should be twenty minutes at least. That's what I read, anyway.
[ He was making an effort not to look at Ankh's injuries too much. He didn't want to make him feel bad. There would be enough examining them soon enough anyway. ]
Um, I'll bring you a pitcher when we're done okay? I'll come back to replace it when I can.
[ He grinned at his response. It was a short-lived sort of happiness, but he'd take any he could get. ]
Try to relax, okay? I know it'll be hard and it's going to hurt, but just do your best. [ He pulled a chair up to the bed and started rummaging through the supplies Hina had given him. Depending on how long Ankh was stuck this way they'd definitely need more, but for now it was enough. He didn't give Ankh any warning before he started working on him. It was a little unnerving how easily his muscle memory made the task. ]
I've sort of done this kind of thing before, actually. So I don't think I'll make it any worse than it is, at least.
I'll probably be dead from the penalty game, so it doesn't matter. [He grabs hold of the pillow tightly and tries not to make a sound while Eiji works. But he's obviously in a lot of pain, and trying to hold still.
Okay, that got a little beyond what he could take.] Fucking hell, Eiji!
[He goes quiet again for a while. Because he knows he needs the help and thrashing around isn't really going to do any favors. He kept his squirming in his legs and tried not to move his torso too much.
He couldn't really believe he was trusting Eiji with this, but he never expected to be on the receiving end of the kind of pain he'd put other people in. He supposed he deserved it on some level.
Do you remember that village I told you about? I did what I could to help out there. People who knew about medicine were in short supply. For a while it was just tending cuts and bruises, but then...
[ The look in his eyes grew distant, his voice trailing off until he stopped talking entirely. It was still too hard to remember. ]

Date: 2014-10-09 09:01 pm (UTC)I'll bring you some popsicles too. One every hour, okay? I'll even double it to eight until you're better.
[ It was kind of a silly thing to say, but he still said it with a smile. He didn't know what else to do to cheer him up. ]

Date: 2014-10-09 10:31 pm (UTC)It does too matter. We don't know whats going to happen then so until then you need to take care of yourself.
[ Ankh's yelling brought him out of his thoughts and made him jump, nearly causing him to fall right off the chair. ]
I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!
